RF Personal Monitors for human exposure to EMF

Personal safety and the creation of safe working conditions are our priorities.

With that aim, we have developed the RF personal monitors, WaveMon, to be always at your side, and to ensure that you do not find yourself in situations of overexposure to electromagnetic fields.

Our solution will warn you visually, acoustically and by vibration, and will keep track of your history of exposure for later evaluation. So that you do not have to be concerned and you can concentrate on your work.

We currently have three models available; get to know them and discover the WaveMon that best suit your needs.

WEIGHTED RESPONSE (WaveMon LF-8)

The WaveMon has a shaped (weighted) response to specific standards. It is not a single model trying to follow all standards at the same time. That approach will inevitably result in a lack of accuracy. It is available in different models with specific shaping to follow each standard, for increased accuracy.

The current available monitors are:

  • WaveMon LRF-400 ICN = ICNIRP

  • WaveMon LF-400 EUD = European Directive 2013/35/EU

  • WaveMon LF-400 IEEE = IEEE

If you need a WaveMon to specifically follow a different standard, please let us know.

WEIGHTED RESPONSE (WaveMon RF-60)

The WaveMon has a shaped (weighted) response to specific standards. It is not a single model trying to follow all standards at the same time. That approach will inevitably result in a lack of accuracy. It is available in different models with specific shaping to follow each standard, for increased accuracy.

  • WaveMon RF-60 NATO = NATO

DATALOGGER

The WaveMon is a radio frequency exposimeter that have a datalogger for continuous data recording.

Communication with the device is through a USB port that allows you to parametrise the device and download the recorded data. This makes it easy to create reports and allows you to keep a record of your exposure data for your safety.

GPS AND ALTIMETER

The WaveMon is the only RF personal monitor equipped with a GPS and Altimeter for geolocation of measurements.

As an example, in a telecommunication tower, the GPS will provide the geographical position of the tower and the Altimeter the relative height from the ground. Thus, the radio frequency monitor will record 'Exposure Level' together with 'Date', 'Time', 'Geographical Position' and 'Height' on the Tower, allowing you to perfectly locate the hot spots.

LOW FREQUENCY IMMUNITY

The WaveMon is the personal monitor with the best immunity and it can work in electric field intensity conditions of up to 30 kV/m at 50/60 Hz without giving false readings of non-existent RF levels. That is better, for example, than the occupational exposure limit under ICNIRP: 20 kV/m.

Experience shows that with WaveMon personal RF monitors you'll never have poor immunity to low frequencies so no false alarms near high-voltage lines or other types of powerful electric equipment.

USER-CONFIGURABLE ALARMS

Over-exposure alarms can be configured from a PC using the USB connection.
Two different alarms can be programmed and personalised separately for each of the standards: General Public and Occupational.
The alarm level (% of the selected limit) and the type of alarm (sound, vibration or both) can be set-up.

BATTERY MANAGEMENT

Small and lightweight, the exposimeter runs on rechargeable AA batteries, charged through the USB port. Can also be used with standard AA batteries, so that you can always find replacements.

What could be easier? We want to make sure you are always protected.

EASY TO WEAR

We have created a clip on holder that you can fasten to your harness, belt or arm, so that can take it in your hand and hold it close to a source of radiation, and then put it back easily.

You can also fasten the WaveMon RF personal monitor to a small carabiner to keep from dropping it.
